The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) became law on June 13, 2005. The purpose of the AODA is to make Ontario fully accessible through implementation and enforcement of regulated accessibility standards related to goods, services, facilities, employment, accommodation, and buildings on or before January 1, 2025.
The first standards under the AODA are the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service. Designated public sector organizations in Ontario must comply with the regulation by January 1, 2010 and file a report with the Ontario Government on compliance by March 31, 2010. All private sector organizations in Ontario must comply by January 1, 2012.
Brescia University is committed to meeting its obligation under the AODA. All documents required by the Customer Service Standard are available on this web site or by request by contacting the Director of Human Resources at email@example.com. Please specify the format required.
