What is the Diploma in Management Studies Program?
Are you starting to ask yourself the question “What am I going to do after I graduate?” Have you ever considered complementing the knowledge and skills from your undergraduate degree with some business education but aren’t sure about the benefits?

This program is ideal for students who have minimal or limited background in business studies. The program is a post-graduate diploma and provides students with the opportunity to learn and apply the foundations of management. Students in the program are provided with opportunities to apply their knowledge in real world learning activities in the classroom including through case studies, live client projects, and in-class exercises.

The program consists of 5.0 courses including courses in marketing, business communications, organizational behaviour, leadership studies, financial accounting, managerial accounting, operations management and strategic management.

Am I Eligible for This Program?
To be eligible for this program, applicants must meet the following requirements*:

  • An undergraduate degree
  • A minimum 70% average over the last 10.0 undergraduate credits
  • No single grade below 60% over the last 10.0 undergraduate credits

Applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of their English proficiency.

* Prospective students are advised that posted eligibility requirements are under review and will be made final upon approval by Western’s Senate.

Application Details
To be considered for this program, students must first complete the online application, then pay the application fee. The application fee is $75, non-refundable, and payable online via the application process.

Students must provide the following to be assessed for admission:

  1. Academic Transcripts: original, official transcripts from all non-Brescia/Kings/Huron/Western university courses and degrees completed will be required.

Brescia/King’s/Huron/Western students/graduates:
Transcripts do not have to be ordered or submitted.

Ensure you order transcripts well in advance so that they are received by Brescia before the deadline of June 30, 2019. Please mail original official transcripts, in a sealed and stamped envelope to:

  1. Supporting Documents:

After we have reviewed step one of the application process, you may be asked to provide additional supporting documents to evaluate your application, including your Statement of Interest, Professional Experiences and References

Applications will be assessed as they are received. Offers of admission will be extended on a rolling basis.
Students are encouraged to apply early as space in the program is limited.

Orientation For New DMS Students
Brescia’s Orientation for new Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) students is designed to prepare you for the transition to the university environment at Brescia.

At your welcome day, you will have the chance to learn more about the DMS program, and review academic expectations with Brescia faculty and staff. You will also receive an overview of student services and resources, and have the option of taking a Brescia campus tour, and Western campus tour. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
