ORIENTATION PROGRAMS

To help you get acquainted to the Brescia community we host a number of orientation programs throughout the year for new students.

We understand that starting university is an adjustment for students on many levels. By participating in our orientation programs you will be better equipped for Brescia’s academic structure and requirements – and introduced to the wide array of social activities offered on campus!

Summer Orientation Days 2013

Brescia’s Summer Orientation Days (SOD) will prepare you for the transition from high school to university. We want to help you and your parents get a better sense of the changes, challenges, and bold new experiences that await you in September.

At your SOD, you will have the chance to learn about academic choices, financial aid, select your courses with an Academic Advisor, and map out your timetable. You will also register for some of your courses, have the option of taking a campus tour, and meet some current Brescia students!

International Student Bridging Program

August 27th – August 31st, 2013

Designed especially for students arriving from outside of Canada, this program will give you the opportunity to adjust to campus life before the regular orientation week. During the week, you will have the chance to meet one-on-one with a counselor to review course selections and time-tabling. There is a small fee associated with this program to cover food, transportation, and activity costs.

This program is mandatory for international students and students coming from outside of Canada.

For more information and to register, please visit the International Student Bridging Program web site.

Orientation Week

Each year the Brescia University College Students’ Council invites new on- and off-campus first-year students to participate in an Orientation program. This event is held in conjunction with Orientation events at The University of Western Ontario, King’s University College, and Huron University College. During Orientation Week, first-year students have the chance to meet new students, participate in a week of exciting activities and get to know the campuses!

O-week 2013 will begin on Sunday, September 1.

O-week 2013 details will be posted spring 2013.
