Admission Requirements

We’re delighted you’re considering applying to Brescia University College. We want to make the application process as easy and effortless as possible for you.

You may apply to Brescia year-round. Our regular academic term begins in September, though you may be able to start your studies in January or May in select programs. While Brescia only admits women (with the exception of the Preliminary year program), all of our classes are open to both men and women.

The following forms may be useful when completing your application to Brescia:

  • Readmission Profile (required of students who have been required to withdraw from University)
  • Applicant Profile (if your average falls below our admissions requirements for your program of choice)

The information below applies specifically to Ontario High School applicants. Information is also available for:

Ontario High School Applicants
As a student in the Ontario High School system, please note:

  • You must present an Ontario Secondary School Diploma
  • All programs require a minimum of six Grade 12U or M courses
  • Some programs include specific Grade 12U courses for entry

Program Prerequisites for Ontario High School Applicants

Arts Family Studies Foods & Nutrition Health Sciences
Kinesiology Management & Organizational Studies Social Science  

Arts:

  • Students entering first-year Arts enter a common first year
  • Course selection comes from any of the Faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, or Science
  • ENG4U is required
  • Application Code: EBA

Family Studies:

  • Available as a BA (Human Ecology) or a BSc (Human Ecology)
  • The programs cover all aspects of foods and nutrition, family sociology, child development, and consumer economics
  • ENG4U is required for BA (HEc)
  • ENG4U, SBI4U, SCH4U, MCR3U or MCF3M are required for BSc (Hec)
  • Application Code: EBF (BA) or EBZ (BSc)

Foods and Nutrition:

  • We offer four modules of study in this Bachelor of Science program:
    • Honors Specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics
    • Honors Specialization in Food Science and Technology
    • Specialization in Foods and Nutrition
    • Major in Food Management
  • Our Honors Specialization module in Nutrition and Dietetics is accredited by the Dietitians of Canada
  • ENG4U, SBI4U, SCH4U, MCF3M or MCR3U are required
  • Grade 12U Calculus and Vectors is recommended for Food Science & Technology

  • Competitive BA program offered to Brescia students by Western University
  • Focuses on the dimensions of health and wellness
  • Encompasses both interdisciplinary and discipline-specific studies
  • ENG4U, SBI 4U, and one of MHF4U, MCV4U, or MDM4U are required
  • SCH 4U is strongly recommended

  • You may enroll in the Finance and Administration or Organizational and Human Resources Specialization, or a Major in:

  • ENG4U and two of MHF4U, MCV4U, or MDM4U are required
