Cool Teaching Ideas
Cool Teaching Ideas is an informal discussion group of Brescia instructors for all things teaching. Participants are encouraged to bring cool teaching ideas they’ve discovered, questions or problems for the group to discuss, or any other burning teaching topic on their mind.
For the first 30 minutes of each Cool Teaching Ideas session we troubleshoot a specific topic of interest to Brescia instructors; these topics come out of previous Cool Teaching meetings or from suggestions made at the time of registration. The remaining 60 minutes is an open-format discussion. While sessions are open to any topic the following themes often emerge. Previous topics have included
- August 2016: Classroom management
- December 2016: Teaching strategies and active learning
- April 2017: Attendance
