Join the Homecoming Celebration!
Homecoming is a great time to reconnect with friends, classmates, staff and faculty. Whether it’s your first reunion or your 50th, we hope you will come back to campus for this annual celebration of Brescia University College.
Western has made the decision to rename their October 1st and 2nd Homecoming weekend to “Reunion Weekend” where the focus will be on faculty-based class reunions and alumni awards celebrations. Brescia and the other two university affiliates King’s University College and Huron University College, will celebrate Homecoming weekend as originally scheduled.
Every event, except for the football game are FREE of charge this year – so be sure to plan to attend!
*Childcare will be made available during the Faculty Lecture should there be enough interest. Please contact Alumnae Relations for further details if you would be interested in the possibility of childcare.
*Please notify Alumnae Relations of any dietary restrictions you have if registered for the Homecoming Open House & Brunch on Saturday and/or the Reunion Luncheon on Sunday.

Wilma de Rond ’81
With 32 years of experience in the education field, Wilma has held various roles including a teacher, Principal, Superintendent and most recently retired as Director of Education of the London District Catholic School Board in 2013. Since this retirement, Wilma has taken on the role of Executive Director of WIL Employment Connections, a non-profit organization dedicated, primarily, to facilitating the economic and social integration of immigrant women and men and Canadian women and men into the broader community of London and area.
Aside from her numerous career achievements, Wilma has always made time for her community as well. Wilma served six years as a Community Trustee on the Brescia Board of Trustees and more recently has supported community organizations such as the United Way of London and Middlesex, Junior Achievement, the Board of Shareholders for St. Peter’s Seminary.
Sara Dungavell ’06
Sara’s personal achievements are many. Following her time at Brescia, Sara entered medical school at Western University. After successfully completing medical school in 2010, she became a resident of Psychiatry at the University of Saskatchewan. Following her residency, Sara immediately began working as an Clinical Assistant Professor and providing psychiatric services to young adults and to those living in remote Northern communities which are accessible only by plane. Beginning this September, Sara will also be working with OUTSaskatoon to provide general psychiatric services in an LGBT-friendly environment, and more specifically providing service to those who are struggling with their gender identity.
