Brescia University College’s Girls LEAD (Leadership, Education, and Development) camp has become a choice program for parents and guardians seeking an empowering, inspirational, and holistic experience for the girls in their lives. Since its launch in 2008, it has become an integral part of Brescia’s leadership initiatives, while providing outreach to our local community and fostering unique relationships with various valued partners. This camp program promotes and embodies Brescia’s mission to empower girls to “choose to lead.”
What makes Girls LEAD a program of excellence is three important components:
- The camp is based on girls developing leadership through learning about themselves, others and their communities.
- A daily lunch program where the girls prepare their own 3-course lunch in the Brescia Food Labs.
- Physical activity per day through swimming and indoor/outdoor games, including various guests who teach yoga, martial arts, boot camp and dance.
The Girls LEAD staff are committed to creating an inclusive, creative, and fun learning environment in which girls can celebrate their individuality, explore new ideas, and gain a stronger sense of self-awareness while amid a culture of friendship and community.
