Fall/Winter Work Study Program

Eligibility criteria for Ontario Residents

  • Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person of Canada
  • Must be an Ontario Resident (as determined by OSAP eligibility criteria
  • Must be registered at Brescia University College as an undergraduate in a minimum 60% course load (40% if you have a permanent disability) during the Fall/Winter academic year
  • Must have applied for OSAP assistance during the Fall/Winter academic year and have demonstrated financial need.
  • Must be in good academic standing within Western University and OSAP (if applicable)
  • Must be in good financial standing within Western University and OSAP (if applicable)

Eligibility criteria for International/Out of Province students:

  • Must be an International student or student from another Canadian province or territory
  • Must be registered at Brescia University College as an undergraduate in a minimum 60% course load (40% if you have a permanent disability) during the Fall/Winter academic year
  • Must have applied for government student aid through home province (if applicable)
  • Must have demonstrated financial need determined through the application review process
  • Must be in good academic standing within Western University
  • Must be in good financial standing within Western University

*A limited program exists for international students/students from other Canadian provinces studying at Brescia

Summer Work Study Program

Eligibility criteria for Ontario Residents:

  • Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person of Canada
  • Must be an Ontario Resident (as determined by OSAP eligibility criteria)
  • Must have been registered in a minimum 60% course load (40% if you have a permanent disability) at Brescia during the Fall/Winter academic year
  • Must have completed an “Intent to Register” for the upcoming Fall/Winter academic year
  • Must be returning to Brescia University College full-time in the subsequent study period
  • Must have been in receipt of OSAP assistance during the prior academic year OR must have demonstrated financial need
  • Must be in good academic standing within Western University and OSAP (if applicable)
  • Must be in good financial standing within Western University and OSAP (if applicable)
  • Must be available to work from May to August, regular working hours, per job descriptions
  • Must not be working in any other Summer Work Study/Summer Employment Program at Western University or any other affiliated college while employed under Brescia’s Work Study Program.

Eligibility criteria for International/Out of Province students:

  • Must be an International student or student from another Canadian province or territory
  • Must be registered in at least one full credit during the spring/summer session
  • Must have been registered in a minimum 60% course load (40% if you have a permanent disability) at Brescia during the Fall/Winter academic year
  • Must have completed an “Intent to Register” for the upcoming Fall/Winter academic year
  • Must be returning to Brescia University College full-time in the subsequent study period
  • Must have demonstrated financial need determined through the application review process
  • Must be in good academic standing within Western University
  • Must be in good financial standing within Western University
  • Must be available to work from May to August, regular working hours, per job descriptions
  • Must not be working in any other Summer Work Study/Summer Employment Program at Western University or any other affiliated college while employed under Brescia’s Work Study Program.
