Communities of Practice
ALT Centre Communities of Practice bring small groups of instructors under a shared
purpose. Full-time faculty, contract faculty, and instructional staff are all invited
to participate.
We currently have three communities of practice:

Cool Teaching Ideas
Cool Teaching Ideas (CTI) is Brescia’s teaching community of practice – an informal discussion group for all things teaching.

SoTL
Our Scholarship of Teaching and Learning community of practice brings together faculty and staff researching teaching and learning.

Math & Stats
Instructors teaching mathematics, statistics, and computational courses across the disciplines are invited to join this community of practice, focused on teaching statistics online.

Suggest a new ALT Peer Community, or learn more about our 3 existing groups, by emailing brescia.curriculum@uwo.ca.

- Disciplinary Peer Communities, for those looking for peer mentorship within their School or department
- Contract Instructor Community, where Brescia’s sessional faculty can come together, on evenings or weekends, to discuss their courses
- Student-Teacher-Learner Communities, where students outside your program assist with developing teaching and learning activities
