Cool Teaching Ideas

Cool Teaching Ideas (CTI) is Brescia’s teaching community of practice – an informal discussion group for all things teaching. Participants are encouraged to bring great teaching ideas they’ve discovered, questions or problems for the group to discuss or any other burning teaching topic on their mind. We meet three times per year and all instructors are welcome. 

CTI Format

For the first 30 minutes of each session we troubleshoot a specific topic of interest to Brescia instructors; these topics come out of previous meetings or from suggestions made at the time of registration. The remaining 30 minutes is an open-formal discussion. While sessions are open to any topic the following themes often emerge:

• Classroom management
• Teaching strategies and active learning
• Attendance and participation
