FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

London, ON–As part of a strategic university initiative, involving the growth and enhancement of international partnerships, Brescia has finalized an agreement with the International School St. Lucia (ISSL). Effective immediately, this new memorandum of understanding (MOU) will allow ISSL students, who have successfully completed the necessary undergraduate requirements, to qualify for automatic admission into one of Brescia’s undergraduate programs.

“We are so pleased to officially recognize our long-standing partnership with the community of St. Lucia by collaborating with the International School St. Lucia through this new pathway,” says Marianne Simm, Brescia’s Vice-Principal Students. “At Brescia, we have a long history of proudly educating and graduating St. Lucian students and are thrilled to have an opportunity to strengthen this tradition by welcoming the high-achieving student leaders and their families from the ISSL to further diversify and enrich our own student community.”

The mutually beneficial MOU, designed to create a streamlined pathway for ISSL students, was signed May 27, 2017 by Brescia’s Vice-Principal of Students, Marianne Simm and the Principal of the International School St Lucia, Dale Finch. In efforts to increase student mobility and support the new partnership, incoming ISSL students are eligible for a number of international student scholarships, including a $2000 Caribbean Partner Award.

“The International School St. Lucia students and families celebrate and welcome this unique partnership with Brescia University College”, replies Dale Finch. “ISSL has a proud Caribbean tradition of developing strong academic students eager and confidently sailing into new learning opportunities. We are fortunate to partner in education with Brescia University College.”
