Brescia University College presents the 2018 BresciaLEAD Awards featuring keynote speaker Ann Curry

London, ON – On Thursday, April 19th, Brescia University College will celebrate women in leadership at the 2018 BresciaLEAD Awards Gala. This national award celebration, taking place at the London Convention Centre, recognizes three outstanding women leaders and one organization that embody Brescia’s values of leading with wisdom, justice and compassion in a changing world.

The 2018 BresciaLEAD Award recipients, being recognized in four distinct categories, are:

Lifetime Award, presented by 3M: Maude Barlow (Presented to a woman who has demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout her lifetime)
Emerging Award, presented by RBC: Abirami Kirubarajan (Presented to a woman with a new and innovative voice, currently making an impact on her community)
Activist Award, presented by Ursuline Sisters of Chatham, Ontario: Cheryl Perera (Presented to a woman with an unwavering commitment to social justice, who has applied creative thinking to solve problems)
Distinction Award, presented by EllisDon: Catalyst (Presented to an organization that empowers women to be successful at building their careers and thrive in positions of leadership)
In addition to celebrating outstanding women leaders, the event will also feature Emmy Award-winning journalist, Ann Curry as the keynote speaker.
