Dr. Lauretta Frederking joined Brescia on July 1, 2018.
As Vice-Principal and Academic Dean, Dr. Frederking oversees all faculty teaching and research portfolios, as well as has responsibility for Library Services, the Writing Centre, E-Learning and the Advanced Learning and Teaching (ALT) Centre at Brescia.
A passionate and experienced educator and leader, who believes in educating the whole person, Dr. Frederking has over 20 years of teaching and research experience and a wealth of knowledge in the areas of diversity and inclusion programming. She began her teaching career at Washington University, where she worked as a lecturer and then as an Adjunct Professor of Political Science. She then moved to Portland where she served as a faculty member, department chair and then Associate Provost at the University of Portland.
Dr. Frederking holds a BA from the University of Toronto (Political Science), MA from Columbia University (Political Science) and a PhD from Washington University in St. Louis (Political Science).
