Faculty & Research
Brescia’s faculty members are known for being on the cutting edge of teaching and
research. Members of faculty bring well recognized and diverse expertise in their
field, including Registered Dietitians and Professional Home Economists. Additionally,
they are experts in food and nutrition policies and programs. Students conducting
research with Brescia faculty will focus on an area of experimental or applied nutrition
or health research.
Each student in the MScFN Practicum-based program will work closely with a Brescia
Faculty Research Supervisor who will guide the student throughout their program, providing
mentorship, feedback and direction as they develop their skills in research.

As an academically recognized University, research is a very important component to
the MScFN program.
All research is supervised by a faculty member and later presented to classmates,
professors and members of the community. Students have the opportunity through Western
to have their research shared publically. Discover current and past research completed
