Baccalaureate and Magisterial Ceremony
This special celebration marks your formal graduation from Brescia University College. The ceremony is open to you, a registered Brescia student who is expected to graduate in June or October, and your family and friends. During this ceremony, you will hear from the Grad Class Speaker, academic awards will be distributed and your class will be welcomed into the Brescia Alumnae Association through the reciting of the alumnae pledge.
In 2023, there is a 4 guest limit per graduate for Brescia's Baccalaureate. Additional tickets for this ceremony will not be available. Registration for Baccalaureate 2023 is now closed.
If you have any questions, please see our Frequently Asked Questions page or contact Erin Logie at elogie@uwo.ca.
We invite you and your guests to join us for a lunch immediately following Baccalaureate, prior to your Western Conovcation. Lunch tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available day of.
Convocation marks your formal graduation from Western University. All graduates, family, friends, faculty and staff gather in front of Ursuline Hall before walking down the Brescia hill to Western. This annual Brescia tradition is led by a bagpiper followed by the graduates, family and friends walking towards Alumni Hall. During the ceremony you will be hooded, admitted to Western’s Alumni Association and you will receive your degree, diploma or certificate.
All graduates are issued four convocation tickets by Western. These tickets will be available at the end of May and can be accessed online now. Should you require additional tickets for Convocation, Western sends out an email with instructions to all graduating students in May.
