My name is Angel and I am a third-year Family Studies student from China. As an international student, everything in Canada was new to me but, I was excited for a new adventure. Looking back at the last three years, I am happy to say my Brescia experience has been very memorable! I learned about the University, the country and the culture. My one piece of advice is, don't be afraid to try something new. Brescia makes your adjustment smooth and eventually you will call this place your second home.
Deciding to study abroad, especially at Brescia, was one of the best decisions I ever made. Having the opportunity to explore Canada's multicultural society and being able to meet many great people from different backgrounds was a great rewarding experience that made me appreciate people's differences and grow as an individual.
As an international student, I not only learned several other cultures and values from Brescia, but also made many friends from around the world! For me, Brescia is a very special place that teaches me both knowledge and experience, and is now my second home.
My name is Junise Sheppard and I am a second-year Psychology student minoring in Dance. I’m from a small, beautiful island in the Caribbean called Antigua and Barbuda, but Brescia has become my home away from home. I absolutely love how close and welcoming everyone is the University as it feels like a small family! I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Canada’s only women’s university.
The heartfelt atmosphere at Brescia is what makes the University unique. The students, faculty and staff are always warm and helpful and the professors are enthusiastic about teaching! I am very grateful for this opportunity and I can’t imagine myself anywhere else!
