Master of Science in Food & Nutrition (MScFN)

Below are the awards, scholarships, and bursaries available to MScFN students. 

Important Notes:

  • MScFN students will be contacted prior to the start of class in September with the application process and deadline dates to be considered for these awards.
  • The selected student recipient of each award will be notified by the Financial Aid Office.
  • The “Estimated Value” listed may be subject to change without notice.

MScFN Bursary

Bursary assistance is available to students in the Masters Food and Nutritional Sciences program. Bursaries are non-repayable, taxable grants issued to students who demonstrate financial need. Bursaries supplement students’ primary sources of funding such as OSAP, bank loans/lines of credit, the student’s own resources, and/or those of the parents/spouse.

Eligibility

  • Must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident of Canada, or a Protected Person
  • Be registered at Brescia in a full-time or part-time program
  • Demonstrate a genuine financial need

MScFN Scholarships & Awards

Below are the scholarships and awards that have been made available to Brescia students through various generous donors. These scholarships/awards require an application and/or supplementary documentation.

Dr. Patricia M. Giovannetti Graduate Studies Awards Incoming MScFN student -One awarded to a student in the Thesis Stream and one awarded to a student in the  Internship Stream. Demonstrated financial need. $1300 each September 15th, annually
Enlightened Success Award

Incoming MScFN student paying international tuition fees.

Demonstrate eagerness of learning and commitment to enriching studies through extracurricular activities.

*May be eligible for renewal in subsequent year

$5000 September 15th, annually
Food & Nutritional Sciences Faculty and Staff Graduate Scholarship Incoming MScFN student with a high academic standing and demonstrated commitment to the dietetic profession. Preference given to a Brescia graduate.  $750 September 15th, annually
Sr. Dominica Dietrich - Dr. Geraldine Montag Memorial Scholarship One awarded to an incoming MScFN student and one renewal awarded to a continuing MScFN student (who must reapply). Ontario residency requirements and demonstrated financial need.   $3250 each September 15th, annually
Ursuline Leadership Award Brescia graduate entering the MScFN program with demonstrated financial need. $2000 September 15th, annually
