Schedule and Highlights
Brescia is excited to welcome our new students this fall!
It is important to us that our incoming students have a positive and welcoming introduction
to our community, no matter where they are located. Ongoing details will be updated
on this page and our social media channels throughout the summer, and communication
will be sent to all incoming students via their Western email account on a weekly
bases in the weeks leading up to Orientation Week.
Just a reminder that although we have orientation events scheduled until Sunday, September
11th and into the academic year, classes start on Thursday, September 8th, 2022.
Orientation Week Schedule
Please note that some details on the schedules we provide may change as we receive
more details from the Western community, and as we work through the precautions needed
ensure the health and safety of our students.

Event Highlights
The OWeek schedule is packed full of fun events that aim to prepare you for your transition
to university life. That being said, it is a busy week! Below we've highlighted the
core events that we recommend all students attend in order for you to feel confident
in your upcoming journey at Brescia.

Event Description:
Welcome to Brescia! During this event you will be introduced to the Brescia President,
Academic Dean, Brescia University College Students' Council (BUCSC) President, Orientation
Head Soph and the entire Brescia Soph Team. Alongside your official welcome to campus,
this event will breakdown what to expect during OWeek, staying up-to-date on events
via the Socio app, and so much more!

Event Description:
In collaboration with Brescia faculty, Brescia University College Students' Council
(BUCSC) Faculty Representatives and Sophs, Edvantage is an opportunity for you to
get to know your professors and your peers in your program while engaging in interactive,
program-specific activities developed specifically with you in mind! This a great
opportunity for students to start building connections while exploring the possibilities
of their program.

Event Description:
Get ready to travel around the world here at Brescia! Spend the evening learning about
and celebrating various cultures found in our Brescia community and beyond through
interactive artistic and cultural activities. This event showcases our Keynote Speaker
Sierra Jamieson, an Indigenous Student Activist, as well as our amazing community
partners who are excited to share their histories and traditions while creating lasting
memories with our new-to-Brescia students. Students will be given a passport to get
stamped at every booth, and those who get theirs filled, will be entered into a draw
to win a big prize!
