Take the Lead

High School Public Speaking Contest

Take One: Make a video.
Take Two: Do it Live.
Take Three: Win Free Tuition & Residence.

“The Take the Lead contest was the most influential day of my life. I feel like I gained so much just by attending – I met some of my best friends and felt so welcomed and accepted into the Brescia community.” - Sarah Van Dusen, Take the Lead 2011 Winner

The Contest

Prepare and submit a five-minute video of yourself giving a speech. Young women in Grades 11 and 12 from around the world are encouraged to participate.

Speak about about past or present women who empower others through leadership on a large or small scale – from family member to celebrity –  the possibilities are endless!

A select panel of judges at Brescia will review and score all video submissions. If your video is chosen, you will be invited to come to campus on Saturday, April 2, 2016 to deliver your speech in person and to compete for free tuition and a room in residence.
