Re-Admission

Students seeking readmission to Brescia following withdrawal for failure to achieve satisfactory academic standing at a university must submit an application for admission via Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) by June 23, 2023 for September 2023 consideration.

All documentation, including the Readmission Profile and any transcripts of work completed outside of your time at the university are required to be submitted directly to Brescia’s Admissions Office (bucbound@uwo.ca)

The session for which readmission is sought may not begin until one full year (12 months) from the last day of the session of withdrawal. In addition, a Readmission Profile must be submitted to the Admissions Office. This statement of appeal must be supported by enclosing appropriate letters of support/recommendation or medical certificates from qualified professionals such as counsellors, doctors or teachers, if applicable.

Please note, readmission is not automatic. In deciding whether to readmit a student who previously failed to meet progression requirements, our Admissions Committee takes all available information into consideration, including:

  • Information you provide in the Readmission Profile
  • Academic history (previous Western and high school grades and any records of studies completed during your time away from university)
  • Documentation of circumstances you believe hindered your academic progress
  • Other activities since you last attended university, including paid work and/or volunteering

In your Readmission Profile, demonstrate how you are prepared to return to the university and how you will be ready to be succeed academically—this will assist the Admissions Committee in reaching a decision that will best support your academic success
