Add/Drop a Course

Students have an option to add or drop courses on your Student Center using the Add/Drop functions under “Enrol in Classes”. The last day to add fall term courses is September 13th, 2019. After this date, students are no longer able to add full year or fall term courses.

Add a Class

  1. Log into your Student Centre account.
  2. Select Enrol in Classes located under Planning.
  3. Under Add to Worksheet, enter the class number or use the Search feature to find the class you want to enrol in.
  4. Select Next beside the course you are searching for. This course is now in your Course Enrolment Worksheet.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 to continue adding classes to your worksheet.
  6. When complete, select Finish Enrolling in your Course Enrolment Worksheet to register for classes.

When should I drop a course?

  • If you’re having personal or medical difficulties that have prevented you from attending class for an extended period of time and these circumstances are affecting your academic performance.
  • If you haven’t successfully completed the prerequisites for the course, you are required as per university policies to drop the course.
  • If you have overextended yourself with extracurricular activities or working too many hours at a part-time job.
  • If you’ve made every effort to get help from your instructor to improve your grade without success.
